Terms of Service

Last updated: 14 May 2026 · Governed by the laws of Zambia

    1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using African Loads you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

    2. The service

African Loads is a marketplace and software suite (including LOMA for agents and FleetCore for transporters) that helps verified parties post, find, match, book and manage freight across the SADC corridor. We are not a freight forwarder or carrier; we connect parties.

    3. Eligibility & verification

Users must be 18+ and legally able to contract. Posting loads, booking, and unlocking contact details requires identity verification (NRC/passport + selfie) and, for transporters and companies, a valid white book / company registration.

    4. Subscriptions & trials

Lite plans are free. Elite plans are paid monthly. New accounts may receive a 30-day Elite trial. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Trials may be revoked for fraud, abuse, multi-accounting or inactivity per our trial policy.

    5. Payments

Payments are processed via mobile money (Airtel, MTN, Zamtel) and card. All fees are in the currency shown at checkout. Refunds are at our discretion and limited by processor rules.

    6. User obligations

You agree to: post only legitimate loads/trucks; keep contact details accurate; honour bookings you accept; not harass, defraud or spam other users; not scrape or reverse-engineer the platform; and comply with all applicable transport, customs and tax laws.

    7. Prohibited cargo

You may not post loads involving narcotics, weapons, human trafficking, endangered wildlife, counterfeit goods, or anything illegal in either origin or destination country.

    8. Booking & contracts

When a transporter requests a booking and the load owner accepts, a transport contract is formed directly between those two parties. African Loads is not a party to that contract and is not liable for performance, cargo loss, damage or delay.

    9. Ratings & content

Ratings, reviews and POD uploads must be truthful. We may remove content that is defamatory, illegal, or violates these terms. You retain ownership of your content but grant us a licence to display it on the platform.

    10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, African Loads is provided "as is". Our total liability to any user in any 12-month period is capped at the fees that user paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or business-loss damages.

    11. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for fraud, abuse, non-payment, or violation of these Terms. You may close your account at any time from your profile.

    12. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified by email and posted here. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

    13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lusaka, except where mandatory consumer law applies in your country.
